Terms of service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and codeliveshare owned by Sunderbans tech (the "Service"), operated from Bengaluru, India and San Francisco, US ("we", "us"). By accessing or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not be allowed to use the service.

1. The service

Codeliveshare lets you write, share, and execute source code in supported languages, with real-time collaboration on shared sessions. Also it allows to run code and share it in multiple programming languages for solo users. The Service is provided on an as-available basis and may evolve over time. Features, limits, and supported languages may evolve over time.

2. Acceptable use

You agree to use the service as a well wisher of the service providers and a good actor for learning, teaching, collaborating, interviewing or similar educational purposes

  • Do not attempt to compromise the system's infrastructure (underlying backend services, db, etc) and help protect privacy and security of all users on the platform.
  • Do not use the service to run code that is malicious, harmful, or illegal. This includes but is not limited to: viruses, ransomware, DDoS scripts, and content that is illegal under international law or the laws of the jurisdiction you operate from.
  • Do not use the service to distribute malware, phishing kits, or content that is illegal under international law or the laws of the jurisdiction you operate from.
  • Do not upload or transmit content that infringes intellectual property rights, violates privacy, or constitutes harassment.
  • Use the service fairly for educational or work purposes. Any misuse that threatens the stability, security, or integrity of the service or its users will lead to immediate termination of access and appropriate legal action.

3. Accounts

You may use the Service anonymously (without registration) for limited functionality. Named accounts can be created by signing up with email and password through our authentication provider, and these help you to explore the depth of features available on codeliveshare. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Pro users get all the features available on codeliveshare. See pricing page for details. The Service is not intended for children under the age of 6. Children may use the Service only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, who remains responsible for the child's use of the Service and for ensuring no personal information is shared beyond what is necessary.

4. Payment policy

Codeliveshare Pro subscriptions are sold and billed by Polar, who acts as our Merchant of Record. Polar processes payments, applicable taxes, invoices, refunds, and chargebacks. Subscriptions auto-renew monthly or annually at the then-current price until cancelled. Users can manage subscriptions and billing through their account.

Cancellation — anytime

You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time from the billing section of your account. On cancellation, auto-renewal stops immediately and your Pro access continues until the end of the current paid period. After that, your account reverts to the free tier and free-tier limits apply to your sessions and saved runs.

Refunds — general policy

Subscription fees (monthly and annual) are non-refundable. Because you can cancel at any time and retain access through the end of the period you paid for, we do not issue refunds for partial or unused periods. This applies to both monthly and annual plans.

Exceptions

We may issue a refund at our discretion in the following cases:

  • Accidental or duplicate charges for the same account. Email us for support and we will investigate and refund if appropriate.
  • Unauthorised charges. If a subscription was paid for but the pro features were couldn't be accessed due to a technical issue on our end.
  • Statutory rights. If you are entitled to a refund under mandatory consumer-protection law in your country (for example, the EU 14-day right of withdrawal where it applies), we will honour it.

Approved refunds are processed by Polar back to the original payment method and typically appear within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.

Service availability

We aim to keep the Service running smoothly, and we do offer a uptime SLA for pro users. If a significant outage materially affects your use of Pro features, and breaches the SLA, we will consider goodwill credits or refunds on a case-by-case basis. Reach out to support for such cases, and we will investigate and respond within 3 business days.

5. Service Level Agreement (SLA)

This SLA applies only to active Pro subscribers. Free-tier and anonymous use of the Service is provided on a best-effort basis with no uptime commitment.

For Pro users, we target a monthly uptime of 99% for the core Service (session access, code execution, and real-time collaboration). Uptime is measured calendar-monthly as the percentage of minutes in the month during which the core Service is available, excluding the exceptions below.

Scheduled maintenance announced in advance, outages caused by third-party providers outside our reasonable control (including but not limited to upstream cloud, authentication, payment, or code-execution providers), force majeure events, and disruptions caused by your own use in breach of these Terms are excluded from uptime calculations.

If we fail to meet the 99% monthly uptime target for a given calendar month, eligible Pro users may, on written request to support@codeliveshare.com within 30 days of the end of the affected month, receive a service credit applied to a future billing cycle, evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Service credits are the sole and exclusive remedy for any failure to meet this SLA.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of code, notes, and other content you create on the Service ("Your Content") (only if you are a registered user). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to store, transmit, display, and execute Your Content solely to operate the Service for you and anyone you share a session with. You represent that you have the rights necessary to grant this licence.

When you share a session link, anyone with the link may view or modify the contents of that session. You are responsible for what you share with your audience.

7. Data retention

Sessions and saved runs are retained based on your tier, and you control who can access them through the permissions you set on each shared link:

  • Real-time collaborative sessions Anyone can create as many shared sessions as they need. Signed-in users can save and revisit live sessions — up to 20 on the free tier and up to 1000 on Pro. Sessions that are not saved remain available while active and for a short period after inactivity, after which they may be removed.
  • Saved runs Saved runs do not expire. They are retained indefinitely on every tier, and you control access to each one through the permissions you set on its link.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if your usage threatens the Service or other users, or if required by law. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings or by contacting support. On account deletion, Your Content is deleted from active systems within 15 days, except where retention is required for legal, accounting, or abuse-prevention purposes.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. You are solely responsible for any code you share and execute and for any consequences of doing so.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in last 1 month.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of Your Content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India and international law. The courts at Bengaluru, India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, except where mandatory local law of your residence provides otherwise.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the bottom of this page reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be announced in the Service and, for subscribers, by email. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
